Problemo...

Hey,

I just relized my Temp gauge does not work on my car 89 IROC-Z. Were can I find a replacement for it?

Also when I put my car into reverse it makes a clunking noise. Do you think it could be the a U Bolt?

I bought an aftermarket gauge from a local store by autometer I believe, like $30.

Oh, and you're trans mount is broke, get a poly urethane one, so it won't happen again.

*UPDATE*

Well here's the thing. I lied (sorry) The car actually makes a grinding sound while shifting from Drive to Reverse. It also hesitates while moving to reverse. What's wrong with it?

Here's the deal:

I'm looking to buy a Blue 89' IROC-Z Camaro (350 TPI AUTO)
78,500 miles
Front has been wrecked but totally replaced.
Drives wonderful
Has minor scratches and chips on it.
Vin #: 1G1FP2185KL117945
Has an Apache alarm system on it (whoo hoo!!!)

The guy is asking $5,000 for it, but since it may have a problem with the tranny I think it is worth $4,500 max.

Tell me if this is a good buy or not. I figured if I buy it for $4,500 I can invest $500 into the tranny (or whatever the problem is) and some touchup paint. Please tell me if it is worth it.

Front had been wrecked and it has tranny problems. theres something wrong there. I would stay away from it. Sounds like the drive line is out of whack. Ask him if you can take it in and have measurements taken to see if everything is lining up right. Sounds like it could be a lemon. If driveline is out of alignment a new tranny isnt going to help you much. Does it have a clear title? Don't know if I would pay $4500 for it.
