For Camaro's:
87-90: IROC-Z28's and 1LE's.
91-92: Z28's, 1LE's, and B4C's.

Willie pointed out in the tape footage that one of the 50 test mules had the ac equipment on the firewall.
So Willie could be right that the 50 test mules were just butchered up 305 IROC-Z's like mine.
Willie said he bets the VIN would reflect a 305 car.

What? The 305, 350, 327, 396, etc is the size of the engine in cubic inches. LT1, L98, LM1, LS5, LG4 are the RPO code designation from the manufacturer that denotes the engine specs. So, no, L98 is the designation for the 350 found in the 3rd gen cars. 305's carry their own code to designate which engine type it was.

Hey Nitro, did you get a new 350 or was it out of another car? My car originally came with a 305, but the previous owner put in a 350. The rpo code for the new 350 was B2L. That rpo code was on the paperwork that came with the motor. I believe this is the same as an L98, but I know in different years the L98 motors came with different horse power numbers. I don't really know what mine is putting out.
