production sequence question

This is part of the VIN decoder results:

9 is the CHECK DIGIT
Model Year: 1992
Assembly Plant: Van Nuys
Production Sequence: 119625

I was wondering how I determine what # my car was in the total production # of the year?
What is CHECK DIGIT?
Thanks for any help with this.

The check digit helps verify the authnticity of the VIN. Your production sequence number is 119625. That must be a Camaro because the first Firebird VIN for 1992 was 200008.

Your car is number 19,625 out of 70,008 for 1992. Probobly built November 1991 around the second week.

David,

The Camaro White Book states 70,007 Camaros built in 1992. Where did you get 70,008?
