How to get off door panel

How to get off door panel

I have evrything unbolted and loose, but the black top trim along the window is held, seems like it is bolted from the inside, how do you get off door panel now, '91 Firebird. Please help! Andy

As you pull the bottom of the door panel towards you, lift straight up. The top of the door panel is lightly clipped on.

If you have trouble try this. Push the trim piece at the top of the door while pushing up. There are plastic tabs that lock into the door, and in order to get them to come out push the trim piece in then up. Hopefully that will help you.

That sucks man, you could take that motor out if you want to work at it. I've heard you have to drill out the rivets and then the motor is about $100 +. If you want a ACDelco motor you can order one from www.GMpartsdirect.com they can give you a good price perhaps under $100. You can either e-mail them at that site or check for the part number at www.acdelco.com. Good luck with the motor.
