where can i find other vin location.
drivers lower windsheild and driver door, is what is on the title
comes up as 6 cly, coupe ?
but does not match what the car is ? v8 convertible iroc ?

console vin is different .

i would like to find out what the car really is.

any thoughts on this ?

 

There should be vin #'s on the rear panels of the car. ( Might have to take interior panels in trunk off) its on both sides.

 

i got a vin sticker on the hatch lid next to the latch. also on both doors.

 

what year ? i bet hatch didnt get that til 85 or 86-up seems 83- and older didnt get much in the wya of id stickers or stampings on parts. cept maybe hood in most cases like my 82 t/a. has date code on hood underside, dome hood.

Consoles can be swapped. Doors can be swapped. The one riveted to the dash however doesn't lie if it's fastened in with the factory rivets (which aren't available for replacement). If it says the car is a 6-cyl coupe, then it's a 6-cyl coupe; or if the rivets aren't factory, then it's a stolen car that's been legitimized by taking the plate off of another stolen car.

Sounds to me like there's a scam brewing somewhere.
