A buddy of mine was lookin to purchased a 25th heritage. The car is black w/ silver stripes. the guy says it has a 305 auto and only 56k on it. it is completel stock, exhaust was replaced with stock oe stuff. Thats about all i can remember. The guy wants 8400.
Now if im not mistaken, the car has 2.73 gears, no g92, and the 305 is the penut camed variety. Those of you third gen historians that read this, fill me in if this car is worth it and let me know if i am correct if not then correct me. I want to let my friendknow if the car isfor rea, or even worth the 45 minute drive. thanx guys

The 91-92 305 definitely did not come with the peanut cam. It had the L98 cam.

Peanut cams were in the LG4 motors, where as that is an LO3, but then again, that is not the fastest motor either. It is a good car to have if you want to stay stock. But I'd pass on it for that much, it may be worth the $ I"m not sure, but I would rather have a 350tpi for that price.

Mark is right. The LO3 is a good engine but severely under powered. The 350 will be much easier to mod. If that is what your friend wants to do. I paid $8500 for my '92 RS with 32,000 miles. But looking back I wish I had gotten a 350.

Even with all of that in mind, if he buys it he will love it. I know I do.

Secondly, I can't believe the other posts missed this- it's a Z28 guys- all 91-92's were TPI- LB9 is the RPO for the 305 in the car in question.

And I'll 2nd that it's not the peanut cam- but go figure why the 5k redline?

Well, he just wants to know if the car is gonna be worth lookin at. I figured it wasnt worth the 8k he wanted for it. would the car at least be worth it as a project car? Assuming he can chew the guy down in price.

Your right I missed that. I thought it was an RS. As far as the color and stripes, I did not check my white book.
