crossfire hood

Im planning to put a factory crossfire hood on my 84 z28. The hood does not have the flappers in place. What problems might this cause from rain/water entering through the holes in the hood?

Any ideas on how to adapt this hood on a carb car?

Has anyone that has the normal crossfire intake had any problems with water getting past the flappers?

Water shouldn't get past a stock hood setup, but if the flaps are not there a little water may get in. But it should'nt be a big problem unless it really raining
