Is this a model or an option?
I met a guy in my class and he has a 92 T/A covertible (305TPI auto, rear discs, posi, red ext) one sweet car- only about 35,000 miles.
Anywhoo--he had already contacted GM and got documentation saying 105 of this model had been imported to Canada-----
My question- is a convertible a model or an option? I'm thinking no way there was a 105 T/A converts in Canada!

In this instance the number gm quoted you would be the total amount of trans ams imported into Canada for that year perhaps in the same colour as your friends. I got the info package from GM when I bought my 1990 Iroc convertible, it stated that 506 versions of that model were imported into Canada for sale that year, 105 of them in the same colour as mine.. Since only around 1200 Iroc converts were made and a grand total of around 5000 Irocs in total I can't believe that many(506) converts made it up here. I figure canada usually buys 1/10th the production(being 1/10th the population size) so 506 must be the total amount of Irocs imported. So i'd have to say that 105 trans ams of the same colour as his made it into Canada that year since 105 total seams a little low and 105 converts seams a little high.I'm just basing this on the info I recieved in my info package.
