305H...305G...What's the difference?

I pulled a few part numbers from my manual last night for a guy and these 2 codes made a difference between speedo part numbers.
What do they mean? I'm just curious.

Thanks...Ed

305G = L69
305H = LG4

If the engine is the original, look for the G or H in the VIN (8th digit).

Transmission: A 700R4 that has trouble handling the formentioned 350.
The difference between the LG4 and L69 is about 40 horse. Same torque spec.'s though.

L69 had aluminum intake, and high compression (9.5:1 rather than the LG4 8.6:1)

Later, Garrett
