Need help with a question on timing gears...
Can someone tell me if the stock 2.8 (1989RS) 173cid engine used plastic gears for the timing chain?
I posted this question on the v6 board as well. No luck with a search.

I dont know if it was plastic or not..but the stock gears in the 85 and 88 2.8Ls had some sort of coating over the metal part of the gear....
