signs of original paint?

Is there a way to tell if a third gen (1990) has been repainted or if it's original paint? besides the color rpo. Thank you.

Well...I would carfully look to see if you see ANY overspray on anything.....or if you see any tape lines....where maybe somebody had painted before.....also....if you've taken some of your interior panels out....maybe..your door panels....or speaker rear speaker grills....you might see some signs of body work.....look inside your fenders too. I looked at some of my panels from the inside...and noticed some body work....that I didn't see from the outside....also..you can inspect your weather stripping.......around your windshield...and your door weather stripping. All of your jams is another place to see any overspray....that may have been caused by a repaint.

My car has VIN# stickers and ASC Conversion stickers on the door jambs, under the hood, and in misellaneous places.

A paintjob would have gotten rid of those quickly.

That's true....whenever i paint though....I always make sure to mask those up.....there are nice to have. But....alot of people do just either paint over them...or take them off...

also you could look for any runs in paint around the door jams.
