82 TA rims
I am trying to figure out what I have. Well, I purchased the car in 87 from the original owner with 20000 miles on it. It is a cross fire car with a posi rear- no disc rear end. All the cars I seem to see have the "bowling ball" hubcaps. The one I have has that wheel, but the fins are all finished real nice w/ chrome center caps. Around the outer edge of the wheels is not gray like the rims, but polished aluminum and the whole wheel appears to be clear coated. Today the car has 63000 miles. Forgot to mention that it has PMD seats. Colors are white w/ black guts. No rpo sticker in the glove box. Also it is a rear late 82 built car. Thanks for your help, Mark

RPO stickers weren't used until 1984, so you won't find it in any 82 or 83 model, unfortunately. From the sound of it, it sounds like your wheels are code N24 which was used from 1983 to 1984 on many Firebirds. Technically there are two versions of the N24; one with a flat-shaved outer edge like the one shown above, and one with smooth outer edges which were painted and not shaved (example: https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/att...postid=1136025 ). I don't know which one of the 2 variants you have, but neither one of those are valid for 1982. The common wheels for 1982, which everyone always swaps out or throws away unfortunately, are code N89 and are different. Their fins are really jagged, with notches to accept a large hubcap. (example: http://ohok.com/dc/20011010-03donovan-newtires.jpg )
How do you know it's a late 82 build? Oh yeah posi with no rear disc either sounds like a highly optioned car or a WS7. You say it's white/charcoal/black? If you have any pics of the car, that would be awesome.

I would like to show some pictures of my car, but I need to figure out how to post them here from my digital camera.

Click on "Reply to Topic", type out your message, and then look under that box where you just typed. There will be a section called "Attach file". There should be a "Browse..." button. Hit that, and then it'll pop up a window where you can search for your photos on your hard drive. Can only attach one photo per post and it must be 102400 bytes or less. If it's bigger than that, you will have to resize it or compress it in an image editor program. Good luck, GT
