Ws6?
Well I guess that you all have figured out that I am new. So Hi...
Well to my question. I got an 86 Trans Am. I have been trying to find out if she was a WS6 model. I am not really sure when the ws6 first came out. I have been in other 86 Trans am, and I have yet to fine one like mine. She have the performance package, and the 8 gran tach, and the one forty speedo, and she also had the areo spoiler till it was ripped off. I am the thrid owner of the car, and it was painted before I got her. There is no codes or anything one this car except the vin plate. If anybody can help me with a little info, I thank you .......:hail:

To find out exactly what options your car came with you should take your VIN number to the dealership. They can give you a printout of all the options that your car came with.

WS6
I have tried that to. I was told the car was to old. We deal alot with Price Buick Pontiac. I was running out of opitions. I first thought that she was a gta, but I found that the gta's had no fender vents. I first started lookin to see was she was when I was in a few other Trans Am. These cars was the same years, but they was not set up like mine. I just got the car painted, and I was thinking about placng a WS6 badge on her, but I wanted to make sure she was a true one before I did it. As far as this site goes, you guys are helpful. I wish I would have found this a few years ago.

Also the badge was only $5-8 from the dealer when it was still available. It was $11 last I checked but its discontinued, I don't want to admit what I paid for the last NOS badge that my supplier had.

To the best of my knowledge, WS-6 first appeared on the 1978 year model T/A and Formula. 1979 was the first year that included rear disc brakes.

5.7 Swap
SpawnsFate:
When i did the swap i had it taken down to a shop since i didn't have the time to do it myself otherwise i would have. I had them put in a Longblock (late model '87 and up) 350 with a mild cam. I used my old top end (intake manifold and TPI) but got new Accel 21lb injectors. I also had him put in a 4bolt main block for the heck of it. Everything was fine eccept for the mild cam screwed up the stock ECM so i had a custom chip burned for it. It runs like new and am verry happy with it. Hope this helps, any further questions pm me. Good luck!

I got another firebird sitting in the yard. From what I have saw the GTA's did not have fender vents. But why do that? I like to have my car for what she really is. Why make her something that she is not. That is one thing I like about the Firehawk. From what different people have told you can't get things for a Fire Hawk unless you can prove that you own one. If other people want to make thier rides something that they are not that up to them, but I am not into that. They say cars show alot of the personality of the owner. So I guess that my car is saying what I would say. I don't have to be something or someone esle to be liked, or to be cool. I am who I am. And If you don't like me for who or what I am. F*** off....
