I have a 1982 trans am, my question is have any of you ever seen a trans am with 14 inch wheels, this is a true W-87 trans am, that was my first though that possibly it was a a plain firebird with T/A stuff on it, but inside the doors the tire decal says 14 inch wheels, the doors in no way appear to ever have been chaged, I have no build sheet for the car so is there any possible way to tell for sure what 14 inch wheel this car came with, only 14's available this year as far as I know is the type with the black wheel covers which mine has but it has gold wheels, or could it have had the plain finned aluminum wheels, sorry no RPO label is on the car either.

Or, your looking at the spare tire size, it's the one on the bottom of the tag. But otherwise, the standard tire size for a T/A was 205/70R14

 

any of you guys have pictures of what 14 inch wheels could have come on the car
