I got stiffed on e-bay
I got stiffed on e-bay
High bidder backed out of his offer. He claimed that since the reserve was not met, he had no obligation to buy. This is BS! I asked him why he was bidding in the first place if he did not intend to buy. He should have been glad that I accepted his offer.
Anyway; at least I can run the car in e-bay again free of charge, since it did not sell. It's listed this morning under 87 camaro convertible. 2 other's are listed as being rare, but the vin's don't match a real 20th anniversary commemorative edtion. Hope perspective buyers know this.

I don't like E-bay at all. My suggestion is to place a classified in Hemmings Motor News. Name your price and you will get it. No bidding and no haggling. This is the only way I'd sell a collectible. Personally, I sold my '87 IROC-Z convertible this way many years ago. I got my price from the FIRST person who called me inquiring about it.

I agree with Willie. Run an ad in an established and respected magazine such as Hemmings or the DuPont Registry and see if it sells. eBay has rules and as a reserve auction, if it doesn't meet the reserve price, there is no obligation for anyone to buy...
