interchangeable parts.

I tried the body/interior board, with no answer.

Im buying a 92 Firebird Conv.
It needs a new hood, nose, pass fender, and rear bumper. What other year donor cars will work for this project? So i can start locating these parts? I know that the nose is specifically for the 91 and 92, but what about the hood, fender, bumper, etc. I may be able to pull off the gfx from the wrecked parts and put them on other year parts. I've seen an 87 formula in a junkyard and i thought it would be cool to put the hood on the 92.

Car: 87 Formula T-Top, 87 Formula HT
Engine: 5.1L TPI, 5.0L TPI
Transmission: 700R4, M5
Axle/Gears: Sag 3.73, B&W 3.45
Hood: same for all years.
Nose: 91-92 ONLY (you know that)
Headlight Assembly: 91-92 ONLY
Fenders: I believe the same from 82-92
Doors: same from 82-92, drill hole locations vary for ground FX.
Rear bumper: 91-92 ONLY

the Formula hood WILL work, no problem.

All of it is interchangeable if you want to do a little work. Even the headlights and nose. People convert one year and style of car to another all the time.

You can make a 82 look like an 85. Make a 82 look like a 92. And a 85 look like a 92.

Not that you wouldn't have to do some drilling. But you can do what ever you want.

The headlight Assembly for example, you can take a 82-90 and put it on a 91-92, BUT the bezel will not work, BUT because in 91-92 the headlights are smaller you need a 91-92 assembly to use the bezel.

my 91 Formula was like that when I bought it.
