T-Top Sunshades?

DE4 - SUNSHADE, REMOVABLE HATCH ROOF

They were missing when I got my '92 Firebird, but I'd like to get a set because my car gets really hot after being parked outside for a while. The dealer didn't know what I was talking about so could you please post some good pics of a set? Thanks.

/edit: Part numbers would be great, too. I need a black pair.

GM doesn't have the sunshades anymore.
Try Classic Industries, they have repros.

I've come across quite a few sets of the black sunshades on ebay. I had to wait about three months before someone placed an ad for the tan shades that I needed. I paid twenty five buck for the pair and they were brand new. Check it out and good luck.

LOL. I found two pairs of tan sun shades in the classifieds but not a single black set. Oh well, I'll keep searching.

Look at the sponsors at the top of the page. Hawks and ThirdGenResource both sell the aftermarket replacement ones. I ordered them and they are a great reproduction. All colors available too.

I don't know if you have the lexan or glass tops in your car, but with my 91 with the lexan tops, the temp isn't any cooler with the sunshades in place then without them.

Thanks for the link, but these aren't the correct sunshades for my '92.

I have a brand new set from GM still in the bag w/the instructions!
They're gray--I'm looking for a mint black set--anyone want to swap?

Yeah, mine don't look like that either. Mine aren't the bare plastic like those are. I did notice that they are supposed to fit the third gens. Sixty bucks sounded kind of high to me, but I guess that's about right.

It's amazing what people will pay for parts when they want them bad enough. A couple months ago, someone paid $192.50 for those same plastic shades from the same seller.

I never knew they had plastic ones! Anyone have a pic? Since the ebay pic won't come up.
At GM Carlisle were the shades nos GM? Or aftermarket? What were they going for?

I like the price. Check your e-mails. Also, here's the pic of the plastic ones:

The ones that were for sale at this year's GM Carlisle were used for around $20.00+/pair.

heres a good pic of the factory set from my car, never used yet, i dont think i am going to use them either. i take the t-tops off way to much and they will most likely wear out quickly.
