Differences between L98s- year to year?

Does anyone know the exact differences in L98 motors between 87, 88, 89, 90, and other years? I know about the speed density and cold start injector. I'm wondering more about cam, pistons, etc. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the cam got a little more lift in certain years. I've also heard that the newer L98s got lighter pistons. This could all be bs, but it does seem like the fastest stock L98s are always newer ones. I hope someone has the numbers down on paper somewhere...

90-up had lighter pistons.

87, 88-89 and 90-92 all had different cams. Can't remember the specs.

some good info on here, like hp and tq numbers.

not to much about specs, but might help some.

I'd asked about swapping out my L98 for something else or another 350. Seems if a early 90s would work in the 1989, might look into that. My car stopped working this week.... seems fuel line related at this point but it's been bothersome for weeks.
It's tough to decide to do a engine refurb when you don't know the kinds of wear on each and every component.

Easier to decide regarding body components!
