numbers of beige colored birds?

This may sound like a stupid question, but I'm curious. Is there any resource that tells how many cars were built of a certain color? I have a 1984 Firebird SE that I'm restoring and it's a beige color with a lower stripe that is somewhat of a burnt orange color. It's being painted the orignal color this next week. I've been a fan of the camaro and firebird for many years (I'm 47 years old) and have NEVER seen another firebird with this color. I know of only one Camaro with it. Thanks! Brad

Wow Fast68! That is the exact same color as my interior! My rear seats are a bit faded, but not torn. I may see if I can do a redye job on them, but if it doesn't work, I may be in touch with you! Wish you had two of the same color front seats, as mine are really bad. Looks like I will have to go for a set of new covers.

Thanks for the reply on this. At least there was one other Bird painted this color! I was starting to think it was a unique factory odd-ball!

ive seen others around here too this color, not common but are out there, even in this low populated area. even camaros too, but all the beige third gens ive seen to date are always 2.8L, so hmm..... ive seen both cars this color in the past, the last light beige maro i seen an 'uncle' of mine painted it purple for his daughter who's my age. i talke dot the guy who got the car after she sold it and they said it was loaded full of bondo, hehehe.
if my digicam hadnt of been stolen then i could pic some light beige third gens around here,.

most ppl around here spray paint them black over that beige though.

good luck

I used to own a 1984 S/E. I sold it this past year. It was brown with lighter brown lower body stripes. I started to redo the car with new doors, front fendors and such.

My interior was tan leather! The car had a lot of options but it was only a v6 and it needed a lot of body work. The interior was decent.

I got an interior from an 84 trans am a long time ago (most parts sold), I still have the seats (exact same that you guys have been mentioning) but they are a little rough around the edges.

Here are some pics of my old S/E.

Day I bought it:

Here is what she looked like right before I sold it:

seats are no where near the same as the cloth light sand beige european ones but i gues sort of similar.

do you have european seats RPO code ?

the 84 S/E i cut up did, as did the 84 Z28 with same tan interior excpet soem black stripes zebra style stripes, same cloth though except rear seat back full width solid one piece unlike the 84 s/e seats, must be 84 s/e or 84 firebird only thing because the 82 trans am out here has same back full width solid seta as the 84 z28 did

hmm...

I know my seats pictured arent the same as the ones you speak of, I guess I was just posting to show the light colored interior that seems to be a hard to find setup around here.

I do have a set of seats like the ones you guys are talking about (not pictured). They are a split fold rear set. Kinda rough too.

Thanks for the input guys! Glad to see that there are a few third gens with this color scheme. It's not the most "outstanding" according to some and I know many would likely change the color...but I like it as it's different. I'm returning it to stock exterior except for the turbo wheels (which I hate) and will get some simple aftermarket ones that are more my taste. I do have an idea of some dual stripes down the hood, but I need to think about that for awhile... may not look as good as I think.

Wish I could find some good seats for this in the stock color, but it would likely be impossible. All the replacement seat covers are solid color ones or ones that do the two-tone theme in colors that won't go with the interior. Guess single color is the only thing left for me.
Brad

Bill-- looks like you really put some work into that Bird while you had it...good job! I wouldn't mind finding some of those leather seats you had and that steering wheel as my wheel is in horrid shape.

my 1984 firebird used to be a light beige color before I had it painted. I believe the color was called "cream beige". I had earthtone stripes on the bottom of mine. Here's a picture:
