86 berlinetta question
86 berlinetta question
did all berlinetta's in 1986 get a digital dash, or was it just optional?
is that the same for the camaro lettered seats too?
i know the digital dash is swappable with the analog one, but is it a direct swap more or less? simple sort of thing?
thanks!

Sure;
You can swap an analog dash in the place of a digital dash set-up. I have done it before to an 85 Berlinetta....... I installed an 86 Z28 dash set-up into the car.
It is NOT simple.
You will need an almost complete parts car to make the conversion successfull. You have to swap more than just the dash housing if you want to make this conversion work !!
All Berlinettas from 84 thru 86 were digital camaros,....... The digital dash was NOT an option - but standard equipment on the 84-86 Berlinetta.
As far as "CAMARO" lettered seats,.......... The "contour" interior was availible from 84-85 with tricolored stripes with a "CAMARO"logo in each stripe.
The Seats with the small "camaro" stiched in the backrest were not availible in 86. I think they were availible in the 88 and up cars --- but I am NOT sure on that one !
