Checking the RPO codes - My 1990 IROC does not show a B4Z code but is does show:
N96 : WHEEL, 16 X 8, CAST ALUMINUM
QLC : TIRE ALL, P245/50ZR16/N BL R/PE ST TL HW4
FE2 : SUSPENSION SYSTEM, RIDE HANDLING
J65 : BRAKE SYSTEM, PWR, FRT & RR DISC
I have owned this car for 11 years but am not the original owner and never questioned the car before now (since it is for sale).
I thought that the 16" wheels a ZR tires were only available on the IROC right? any other IROC only options that I may have?

Your car is an IROC-Z. The B4Z was used only in 1985-1987. The IROC-Z was an option package on the Z28. In 1988, Chevrolet dropped the Z28 as a model and the IROC-Z replaced it. When ordering an IROC-Z in 88-90, you just had to specify the Z28 RPO code.
I hate to use an import as an example, but in the 70's, Toyota had the Celica and the Celica Supra. A few years later, the Supra became a model of it's own. That's what the IROC-Z was. It started as an option package and became the ultimate Z28. In 88-90, it was the only Z28.
