paint job

Can someone tell me if i give my red iroc a black paint job, will the car lose its value, thanks.

Unless your IROC is in mint condition, it shouldn't make much difference in what you could sell it for, as long as you get a quality job done.

If your paint is in bad shape now, a quality paint job will increase the value some, and vice versa.

definitely if you don't change the color of your door jambs, engine bay and every other nook and cranny. people may see it as just another car that somebody did a hack job on to make it look shnazzy and sell it. if the paint's not too bad you may be able to sand out some imperfections and buff it, granted there is enough clear coat to let you do that w/out cuttin through.
