I have heard of them under the carpet above where the gas tank bump is, usually there under the carpet in the front passenger compartment tho.

i just finished gutting the interior and no buildsheet no where for sure now, damn
that sucks
oh well, at least i can see now what interior parts need repaired or replaced, and i can see that entire floor of car is nice shape cept a minor area of surfacr ruts on pass side front part of rear floor pan, easy fix with soem sanding or wire brushing and sealer
hmm..
thanks

there just is no sheet in my 82 t/a. that stinks...
car wil never be anything special anyways, yes ill have the QP and fenders replaced and windshield too and get replacement interior stuff and repaint the car, but the drivetrain is far from correct or anytyhing that was factory available for 1982 and the rear axle isa about to be swapped from another third gen, so the car will never be an original restoreable car, but still will run and look great once i get everything together that i need,.
the way i see it i think that it is better for the car to be mostly non original and never to be restored and have its original drivetrain and be able to be enjoyed and driven and cruised- rather than be in a scrapyard right now

Cool, I found that same thing underneath my driver side rear seat. It was even on top of the carpet. Guess I was the first person to ever remove that seat.Originally posted by Aviator857

GM put the build sheets on top of the gas tank because when going into assembly that is one of the first pieces to be added to the car.

I found my build sheet attached to the springs under the front drivers seat. Perfectly intact, what a find!
