To someone who is looking for (in other words "has to have") a low mile mint formula? Maybe.
To me? Great car, but no.

you should check and see if its really a corvette engine, if it is then its not worth it... if its the stock engine then it might be good for around 10g's because who cares about the milage if the engine had to be replaced... if your buying a car with that low of miles your probably buying it for collection or for originiality(no mods) you want it to be as OEM spec as possible IMO
nah i want a car that cheap so i might not have to rebuild ghe engine anytime soon. I see no point in having a car you cant drive. Whats the point. If i had a car with that low miles i'd drive the heck out of it. I mean its almost brank new.
Anyways, my step-dad wants a new car, either a corvette or a thirdgen with the L98. My mom's gonna get it for him for when he gets back from iraq. He prolly will want one. We'll be seeing him in october.

um , thats a good price if oyu want that , if it had a black interior it would be better. but o well.
looks like my car when I bought it, same paint but mine is a t-top so no l98 :-( but Im starting to look for engine possibilities.
I would see if you could get it closer to 10 g's ive seen lower miliage birds go for less.

i never knew l98 never came in t-top. Thats abosultely gay. I wonder why. Anyone know?
To my knowledge in 89 at least you couldn't get a l89 and t-tops, who knows why. I beleive this to be tha case for at least up till 90 or 91.
It's definitely nice. But limited edition? The 350 wasn't limited in 1987. I could've ordered it, but I wanted the 5-speed.
Brand new that car probably stickered for around $17,000. At one year old with that mileage $13,500 would be appropriate. So if someone feels it's appropriate now, 17 years later, then I guess it's worth it. But I don't, and it's not a classic yet.
I'm sorry though, I don't remember about the t-tops with the 350. It seems like there was an issue about it, so if everyone's saying it wasn't available, then they're probably right.

I have an 89 formula 350(L98) with t-tops(factory not aftermarket) I have the RPO codes and the factory invoice from GM that comfirms that it is a l98 with t-tops it is a nice 87 formula and the miles are great but I thinks that it's a little too much money but that is who is willing to pays for it and how bad they want it.I'd pay that much for a 89 turbo ta with that miles.
I'm not an expert on the firebird models, but the Camaro could be had from 87-89 with L98 and TTops. I thought the Firebird actually has 1990 and 1991 models with the 350 and ttops.
Again, I don't know the Firebird side, but I believe they were available in 87-89.

Again, I submit mine... ASC factory convertible 1989 Formula 350, power acces., and auto trans... was originally sold locally via Auto Trader for $10,000+ The seller came down to $8,600 at the time of sale and it had 44,000 miles. People think that price was crazy and today it might be a bit, because some very fine cars can be had for $8000 right now. Still, considering the rarity of a 350 auto and drop top combo, I'm not intent on selling it. The cost of refurbishing it to super clean status is a bit scary to me though. My job keeps changing hours as I work in construction. Funky market right now.

the L98 and T-5 couldn't be had together, but the L98 and T-tops was never a problem as far as I know. My parts car is an 88 formula with L98 and factory t-tops. I agree that it's too much to spend. It isn't a collecting-worthy car (not a limited number or even a TA) and you don't plan on using it as such. You can spend less and buy a well restored 3rd gen that will outperform it. Heck, you can also get an LT1 or possibly and LS1 car in that price range.

I noticed that quite a few of the replies are from those who need to use spell check.
