I have finally come to a decision. I really like my 82 Z28, but I've always loved 2nd gen's. I found a rolling 77 Z28 4 speed car for cheap, so the 82 has to go (can't have 2 cars). I'm thinking of asking around $1500 for it.

Based on the car and the condition, is that a good asking price or should I ask more or less.


What it is:

-82 Z28
-112,XXX kms
-305/200c
-edelbrock intake/cam
-newer exhaust
-new interior panels with car (old ones are sunfaded)
-centerline rims
-zebarted from factory....no rust anywhere
-upgraded rear end (3.42 gears)
-brand new BFG's in the front
-seen half of a winter in its life
-stored for most of its life

What it needs:

-2 front fenders (dented...not that bad)
-Passenger side door has a creese in it about 1' long (can easily be repaired.
-needs paint (faded)
-needs rear tires (new tread, but cracked from sitting)
-motor runs strong but knocks when you kick it down.
-tranny works great.

Sounds fair. Is it the original motor and tranny? If so, with no rust, should be worth it.
