I have a Blue '83 Z28 with the silver ground effects. I am trying to buy some paint to touch up the ground effects and have not been successful at Autozone in finding a color to match. How can I get the correct color?

Did they have the book for the touchoup that shows where to find the color code in your car, and then cross references to the paint they sell? Most places just have the Dupli-Color book hangin right by the paint.

 

yea, but it only went back to 1994. I thought if I could get the paint code I could do some searches on the web.

The code for the silver gfx is #7448. This is a Dupont code and is listed as accent silver.
