Is my bird really an -89 model??
What makes me wonder is that it's a GTA but it doesn't have the dualcat exhaust. Thought this was a sure thing on the 89s. Also it has a push-lever to get the key out of the lock. Haven't seen it on other 89 models... what gives?

I already did a vin identification and the result was -89... but that still doesn't explain why I don't have dual-cat and not lock with push-action function and instead with a lever...??? Did they change these things in the beginning of 89 perhaps, meaning that there's a chance my car is technically identical to an 88 although built in 89?

Dual Cats were a option in 1989.. In 1991-1992 They came standard with the 350. And was a option on the lB9 5 speed.. Im not sure about the Lb9 auto tho
