Original GM notchback hatch!! How much $?
How much would an original Gm notchback hatch be worth? Its on a GTA with a 305 TPI? I could get the car and part it out. It was rolled in a wreck, but has some good parts.
The hatch is in good shape and it also has good tail lights.
Oh yeah, Im sure the hatch is a GM part, because I found the GM sicker with the part # on the hatch.

I sold one a couple months ago for $1000. I know a guy who's sold two of them for $1200 and $1500.

I didnt know how much they were going for. I can get the whole car for $400. It still has a good motor and trans. The back bumper cover and side ground f/x are good. Also the rear interior plastic is good (tan).
The notchback needs sanded and primed, but its in good shape.
Would it be worth buying??

Sounds worth it to me, the hatch itself is worth twice the asking price.
Is the car restorable?
If it's an original 88 GTA notchback it's pretty low production.

It is T-tops and would need a new roof, seats, carpet, doors, both front fenders, hood and nose. I think the dash would be ok. It would take alot of parts and time to fix. I guess I could get the vin #.

When you open the Notchback lid, on the left front corner there should be a GM sticker with the VIN. Does the VIN match the VIN on the car? Just wondering if it is original or if someone just converted their regular GTA.
As far as the cost, you should be able to atleast get that much money from the Notchback lid itself. i've seen original ones on E-Bay that have gone for more money than that. That has been months ago, though.

Is it too late to offer the asking price +$100 from California?

This car is about an hour south of Lexington? I know folks there.
I bet this car ran shine...

The dude keeping the notchback and sold the rest of the car. The notch was the only thing I was interested in. He is the type that wont use the part or sell it either. It will probably just set in a garage or barn for the next 10 years.

Forgive my ignorance, but somebody post a pic of a notchback so I can see what it actualy is. I can't recall seeing any variation on TA rears other than the spoiler.
