I have had my car in the AutoTrader for almost 5 weeks now and have not got one phone call. I am asking $4500 obo this car is NICE from new paint to recovered seats, polished TPI setup, Repolished and painted GTA wheels runs perfect and also has a few performance upgrades.

What am I doing wrong?

I may be being a little optimistic but I think the problem is that nobody flips to the pontiac section of the AutoTrader to look for performance cars (the stick to the chevy section).

Has anyone else had a problem selling there 3rd gen T/A?

I am a Camaro fan but always look at the Pontiacs too.

Hard to sell these cars or any sports car in the winter remember "holiday season".

Its a known fact that Camaros outsell Trans Ams 2 to 1. I think youre asking too much anyway.

i feel for you man, i have been trying to sell my firebird as a parts car for a couple of weeks now,i even have it dropped down to $200.00, the parts alone are worth way more than that, i just listed my camaro on ebay,and in 24 hours i have had over 200 people look at it, i am getting bids but nowhere near my reserve yet, i don't know how much it cost to list an ad in the auto trader ,but for a little over $40.00 i listed my convertible and hopefully it will sell. good luck

wrong time of year to be selling, and your asking way to much around christmas.

remember people are broke around the holidays, its during spring and summer it'll sell well

Late Feb, actually late March thru about June is the best time to sell F-bodies...

August/September thru Feb, best time to sell a TRUCK...

To comprimize I have decided to make my Formula a 4x4... Then I would have the market cornered all year round

i think 4500 is a bit high and that with the fact of the time of year is against you. for an 85 it would have to be spotless and have some very good mods for me to pay that amount when there are 1000-2000 cars around with about the same except the new paint.

now in the spring that would be diffrent but it will still take some time to get 4500 for our cars. its just not up to that just yet.

I am allways in the market for another F-body. It just happens that all the cars I want are on the coasts. Kinda hard to fly out a be back for work on monday...and then perform like my boss expects me to.
