cowl color black or color match
so in anopther post on the body board the question came up. my 85 z28 has a black cowl area ya know where the wipers are and the vent. others have factory color match. we first thought it was a factory thing but have since dispelled that one since both factories did it on some models. anyone know the real reason some were black like por 15 and other were painted to match the body?
thanks Jeff

I am not positive on this, but I was told that the van Nuys cars got body color, but the Norwood cars got Black...
This does not hold water because I have 1 Norwood car and 1 Van Nuys car... guess what, they are both black...
The best BS reason I can think of is... The worker that was to paint that area decided to take a nap, and therefore some cars did not get the black...
On a note, I do not remember seeing a Norwood car in body color.
