PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE COTM NOMINATION RULES BEFORE PROCEEDING TO NOMINATE A MEMBER’S RIDE FOR COTM. REMEMBER, WE MUST PROTECT THE INTEGRITY OF THE CONTEST SO THAT THE MOST DESERVING MEMBER WINS.
This thread is a Nomination Thread to nominate cars that will compete for this month's Car of the Month honor. The 10 (or less) most popularly nominated cars will be compiled into a *Voting Thread* in a couple of weeks. If you do not nominate a member's car for COTM, you can still second or third (fourth, fifth, so on) someone else's nomination. Cars must have at least a second nomination in order to make the Voting Thread.
Do not nominate your own car. Your car must be nominated by another TGO Member.
Do not ask your wife, husband, friends, extended family, etc. to register as TGO Members for the purpose of nominating your car.
Do not nominate more than one car.
Do not use multiple member accounts to nominate your own car or to nominate multiple cars.
This is not a picture thread. Post only one (1) good photo of the car you wish to nominate. Do not use a photo-edited picture.
You must post a picture with your nomination. This must be a full-sized picture (or at the very least, a pic or thumb that enlarges into a full-sized picture when you click on it).
Correctly identify the user name of the member who you nominate.
Correctly identify the year and model/trim of the car you nominate.
Do not nominate cars that are not in a high quality, finished state.
And if you are nominated, please DO go out and take an abundance of good quality photos of your ride (multiple angles, interior, engine) and make them publicly accessible (for example via a photo album in your public profile or some sort of hyperlink to your photo album.)
*****This Month's Criteria*****
Open Season: Any stock or modified Firebird or Camaro that is in a high quality, finished state can be nominated this month.
I would like to nominate mantaguy's 1986 Trans Am. So SHARP!!

mantaguy won COTM in April 2014, and won COTY in December 2014 (for all intents and purposes, December's COTM winner). we cant have the same winner three times inside of 18 months.
I'd like to nominate NORTz89, and his amazing 89 IROC. This two years ago was a bone stock LO3 IROC, and for the past couple years it has been transformed in to street/track monster. Now features a 5.3L LS swap with LS6 cam, long tubes, 4L60e with 2500 stall, Ground control weight jacks, GC prepared koni adjustables, Founders adjustable rear suspension, Baer 13" track plus front brakes, Borla exhaust, and many other custom touches....
The car just competed in the Optima Batteries Ultimate Street Car Invitational series at Pikes Peak this weekend and finished 9th in a class of 14 of the baddest pro-touring cars on the planet!

Back in 1986, I test drove and was looking at buying a used 1985 TA that looked just like Firm's car. I almost bought that car. Then in 1993, I saw a Polo Green Heritage Edition on a used lot in Minneapolis. It had the tan leather interior and the CD player. Fully loaded car for $14k used. I walked away and ended up buying my 1988 Sport Coupe instead for $7500 and 19k miles. Amazing how times and dollars have changed. Always liked the Polo Green cars.

4th nomination... Sorry Linson, one of these days man! I was about to nominate your car. BTW thx for your hard work on TGO!
I've noticed a trend in the COTM nominations, and thought I should point something out. Once a members nomination has been seconded, there is no need to 3rd, 4th, and 5th the nomination. I'm sure it makes the owner feel good, but you're essentially wasting your nomination, and there is so many deserving cars on this board, yet only a small handful are getting nominated. I can find at least 3 killer cars in the vehicle specific boards above that have not been nominated. Think outside the same box. Its easy to say 3rd, 4th, 5th nomination etc, but these events get even better with competition.

My two cents! Carry on... BP
Agreed...that's why I held off. I didn't have one I wanted to bring to nomination but wanted to be that second for someone who got only one nomination. I know you are not talking to me specifically ... just 2 cents
