factory tint

ok, i have had a fair number of third gens, been through ALOT OF THIRD GENS....but never have a seen a car with yellow factroy tint...my 84 has a yellow/brownish type of color on the very top of the windshield




anyone else?

Yeah, my 85' has that type of amber windshield tint at the top.

Both of you need to replace your windshield. That shade bar at the top of your windshield was once blue. This was the only color ever offered by any glass manufacturer for 82-92 fbodies besides a clear windshield. Your shade bar has been faded by the sun to its present color. This doesn't happen overnite either. You both have some old glass in the cars, like 10+ years old

Razor is correct, I would almost bet that you have the original windshield in your car....

If you got the Tinted windows Since the 60's they start out blue and then will slowly fade to Yellowish brown...

My 87 was that way until some Punks threw some rocks at it in 1999...
