Help with wheels....

I have an 85 Berlinetta Coupe. When I bought the car it had older 60's style 14" rally wheels. I have a set of 85 aluminum Z28 rims I want to put on the car but the front studs seem to be too short and I can hardly get the lug nuts started. The lug nuts are not stock for the Z rims, but is there any difference in the stud length between the regular coupe and the Z that I don't know about? thanks for the help.

You can get longer studs, I do know that...

I would not think there were different lengths, but I could forsee where the cars with Aluminum wheels would require a longer stud than the steel ones.

You may take this to the Body & Interior board...
