A moment of Rebuttal
To Scott Moyer, an open letter, if you will.
I'm replying (The FT show thread) to my desire to replace the Automobile celebration episode that History channel had aired some years prior to Full throttle. I am not advocating illegal boots, etc, I do think that since I had a former copy and made the mistake of taping over it and yes, at the time, PAYING for my cable service, I feel I should at least be allowed to ask, since PMs have been allowed, it was stated. Anyway, I strongly urge stations to archive to DVD as home recording of DVD is so strong, the studios can certainly afford to do it.
When I get disgruntled by the money making machine, I go off a bit, nothing aimed at you guys, but the Full Throttle subject seems on quite a few individual boards here already. I assumed it to be a disappointment even before it aired, but the 100 years in automobiles show they put together, I guess 4/5 years back, that was worth viewing!

The fact that you used to pay for cable was only giving you the right to view the programming that you were paying to see. It did not give you the right or permission to record whatever you saw and "rebroadcast" it on the internet, sell the copies to others that didn't see it, or redistribute it. Any private recordings of shows are to be viewed by you and legally can't be viewed by others without getting permission from the producer.
I never authorized the use of PMs to continue requests of the show. TGO can't be held responsible for what people do on their own, but TGO also can't stop the use of PMs. I am merely stating the moral ethics of redistributing a copyrighted show. What you do is of your own conscience.
Also, this should have been done thru a PM.

I bought my Pontiac promo video from eBay, and I'm guilty of looking for lowest priced videos, but not necessarily free ones.
I wasn't selling anything, but I'm not above trading
I do remember, though i can't recall the date, I had a Goldstar VCR I was using (home taping is not a crime...yet) and it would backtrack too far in pause and stop mode (getting commercials edited) often cutting into the prior recording...so even my initial efforts were thwarted. I've been looking for this program in the local stores... They have nothing that old it seems
Jim Wangers did the segment on the 20th ann. 1989 Trans Am and also showed up in the Full Throttle segment. He often writes editorials for Pontiac Enthusiest Magazine (IIRC)
