Hi,
I was just wondering, a freind of mine just bought a 1986 Choo Choo customs SS Camaro. It is a 305, with a five speed. He was looking to get as much info as possible on this car, so that he can restore it back to the way it was new. I have done many web searches, but can not seem to find any real soild info. A call has been made to Choo Choo Customs, and all they can tell is that it is one of 100 cars made that year, and that is was basically a cosmetic option only. If anyone has any info for me that would be great.

 

There was a post on this several years ago. Do a search. I know that there was nothing done performance wise. It was not a SS as we know them today in that it was not a factory SS. Everything was visual like wood grain dashes, special decals, etc. Still I think these cars are not high valuable cars at this point but that may change as the cars get older and the 100 '86's dwindle down. I would keep this car and maintain it, continue my research, try to find past owners and bide my time.
