Hey guys,

Im in the market to buy another third gen for a street rod type project. I am looking into an 87-89 GTA but my question is about the suspension. I originally wanted to find another Trans Am with the WS6 package like my Recaro has, but as far as I can tell there are no listings for Trans Ams 87 and up which explicitly say they are outfitted with the WS6 package. Does the WS6 package come standard on the GTA's or am I just not looking hard enough to find one? Thanks for the help

All GTA's and Formula's had it standard, optional on the TA.

 

I was looking at an insanely nice T-top 305 WS6 trans Am this weekend, it was a low miles car Bright Metallic Red/Bright metallic red, Charcoal spoke (GTA style) wheels, and the Carmine Red interior. IT was absolutely goregeous. He wins his class every other year with the car. The car literally looks like it just rolled off the showroom.

Yes, I know this car too.... it's an '87 model and it is incredible. The fellow's name is Ted McClenden (or something close to this). I've tried to talk to him about the car at Dayton on a couple of occasions, but he's not too personable about it or anything else. A shame....

But the car is NICE! One of the best I've ever seen.... I'm surprised it's for sale. He did actually tell me one year that it would never be for sale. I guess times change....
