Hi to all

I just got myself a 1988 Trans Am. It is need of a lot of work on the interior, but the body is in great shape, so I am going to see what I can do with it. I just need to know what parts I can interchage with other years ( as in dashpad, door panels, seats, steering column...ect) and can I interchage Firebird parts as well? I am going at this alone and I am a girl with very little knowledge of cars so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

-Dashpads are from 1985 to 1992.

-The trim on top of the door panels are all the same for all year, HOWEVER thats a tedious job, expect to spend a few hours swapping over the top plastic pieces.

-Door panels are interchangable for all years, the styles are different, and they are different from Camaro and Firebird, but they will interchange. The only exception to this is the moulded plastic door panels found on the 87-89 or 90 Custom and Deluxe interiors. The brackets for the arm rest is different...
- The seats will interchange for all years from 1982 thru 2002, even the back seats.
- Center consle is basically the same from 85-92.
- The dash changed in 1990 as they improved the saftey features with some foam backed panels for your knees in an accident. If you find a 1990-1992 get the entire dash and swap it out, with your car, you may have to re-wire it from your car, not hard, just takes time.

Good luck & have fun

John

I need just about anything interior. The car has been sitting outside (not sure for how long) with a t-top missing. Has definantly been rained in. Interior color seems to maybe have been a blue, but it is all very sun faded. Right now I am not looking to get the interior back to original, just togather, so would take anything I can come by.
