I got my original owners manual for my 82 S/E
I was talking with the guy I bought the car off of and he was telling me he has more stuff he forgot to give when I bought the car off him.He gave me a folder and inside was my manual and a bunch of paper work.Found out his step dad bought the car brand new back in the day and then sold it to the guy I bought the car off of ten years later. Then ten years later after that Robb sells it to me
In the paperwork was all receipts of the car.Found out its been leaking power steering fluid since 86 lol...
Also found out it had a salvage title in 86...
Robb(the second owner,im the 3rd) also showed me pics of the car brand new

cool, well not the power steering thing, that sucks.but cool to know your cars roots. i don't even know how many owners my car has had. the history as far as we know is:
5 years ago car was abandoned on side of road after the owner (could be 1st or 15th) totally gave up on keeping it up; engine seized due to long time w/o any attention or oil changes, owner abandoned. this is odd considering the car had been modified for a purpose (34mm/24mm swaybars on a 2.8L?) car was towed to garage, bought by some dude (mr smith, lets say) mr smith rebuilt the engine, adding a few small hop ups (cam, pistons, bored) and drove for a bit. then sold it to his buddy(mr johnson, lets say), who helped him with the re-build. mr. johnson drove car for 1.5 years and then sold it to me for an unbeleavable 2K (i overpayed, first car i purchased, didn't know any better, i did talk him down from 2700!). that was two years ago. now shes mine!
any of those new car pics on your phot bucket site?

Great story,
I also have in my possession every single reciept of any work done, or any part, or anything that has been done to my car since 82. I also have a notebook that has a record of all this stuff. It's good to know what has been done, and what needs to be done. Thanks for sharing.

The reason i think my car leaked so many fluids when I bought it is because everytime he had mechanic work done he took it to a different place
..I got 1980s receipts from kmart,target,jiffy lube....
Thats the reason cars are messed up is cuz ppl like the original owner of my car(no offence robb.lol) Taking it to all these different places so they can put everyhing back together half arss, use the wrong bolts,in some cases the wrong parts

wow! nice owners manual!
never seen one yet for these, ever, still!
ppl just lose them, totally
i always wondered what an F body o/m looked like...... lol
these have ot be one of the rarest original O/M's to locate/spot
truck ones are by FAr the most common easy to come across, most of them are still in the glovebox, evne in the old 60s trucks,
ive got billions of them stashed away, most all 67-up and nice shape even
good luck

nice dude.
I have all the paperwork and stuff for my 1960 Beetle even down to the orginal sales recipet for the car in March 1960 from Colman's Volkswagen in Augusta, GA. Most people find it so hard to believe a 40 year old sheet on the car still exist in such great shape.
I often wish i had the papers and o/m for my old 92. I think it can say alot about the owner of the car saying I have the orginal o/m or orginal sales paper, or even both.
