CFI aircleaner question
I was wondering if anyone has tried to put a snorkel on the end of the CFI air cleaner under the hood to get fresh outside air. I saw a snorkel intake but no hose on a firebird and I thought maybe you could adapt it to fit a CFI aircleaner. Would it help at all since the intake would be sucking in hot air from the engine bay, or would it just make it more restricted with the snorkel hose. Not sure if you could attach it to the aircleaner since it is rectagular shaped. Any ideas??

I've been thinking along those lines with ideas of what's needed and ideas of what would be cool for my '83.It's odd they didn't have a snorkel assembly(especially for emissions)since the air doors only open under full load. You could probably fab something but you'd have to find a fresh air snorkel hose that's square.A lot of early '70s cars/trucks used an air cleaner base that had an almsot square snorkel input
