So there is life after 200,000. I drive mine everyday too IM getting a Truck for work soon so I can baby it. I plan too do a full paint restoration within the next few years. IM building a fun Street SB right now.

From the pictures it looks like it turned out great! Good luck!

wow, it's amazing what a fresh coat of paint will do eh? and good call on the 16" rims too. amazing what 1 inch of rim does to that car's look.

How much did the body work cost? I am considering having my Formula painted.

Wow did that turn out great. I would consider it money well spent. I hope you have many more years with your IROC.

Thanks for your reply to my post about the IROC, to answer your question if your body is in good shape and no panels need replacement, no major rust (IE wheel wells) & its just a matter of prep work, new decals and embalms and paint I say to expect about 2K for a correct job. Remember everything has to come off the car- hood, mirrors, fairings, bumpers, hatch ect...

Good luck.

Wow, the car looks great. Its nice to see someone out there who's committed to keeping an IROC and taking such good care of it. 290k miles says a lot...

I just hope someday I can find a decent, original IROC of my own to start restoring. I'll always keep my RS, because like you, I was there when the papers were signed, and I was there when it first came home...although there's a difference....

I was 9, and I was in the back seat for the 1st ride home
