I have just purchased a 91 irocz convertable in exellent cond here in australia,and i was wondering , how many were built , it has black ext , black&grey int ,all power opts ,custom int etc ,rpo codes chek ok exept for motor, it was 305 ..5speed but now is 350..5speed, swapped when it was coverted to right hand drive. If there wasnt a lot made there would be a lot less in aus.

 

They stopped making Iroc's in 90.

Well Drew i have just looked at your 91 rs. I have the same wheels same GFX ,different bonnet,looks the same interior except for badges etc but i will clarify one thing for you, we just had an all american car show here , i looked at cars club people were telling me "thats a 90 thats a 91" the build date on mine is 8TH MONTH 90. the other moderator WILLIE knows a guy here that has seen the car up close, i just like the car ,do i realy care that much if its not an iroc NO! I have read other forums and there are varying poinions as to were mine might fall, being so late in production . To me its only a sticker and badges....i just wanted to know, how many RS..Z28..andIROC's if any in that transition 90-91 there were to try to estimate how rare mine is here.

 

A build date of August, 1990 would indicate the car is a 1991 model year. Since production of the IROC-Z terminated in the 1990 MODEL year (please see your other post titled, "Last IROC-Z"), your car is a Z28.

Around here its important to know what your car is. The information and specifics vary greatly by the model. If your car is a 91 its either an RS or a Z28. The badges could have been changed rather easily. To be sure your best bet would be to check the service parts identification sticker in the glovebox and the vin. Take that information and run it thru the decoders here. The VIN should tell you the model year of the car as well as the engine designation. The RPO's should tell you the model, the engine, and various other options your car came equipped with.
If you want to know how many like yours were made you'll need to provide us accurate information.
