Need some help

I'm looking to buy a Third-Gen Camaro sometime soon. I have come to two choices, a L69 H.O. 5.0 with a 5-Speed, or a L98 5.7, the only downfall to the 5.7 engine is that it only came with an auto tranny.

I Just want to know what you guys think, and if anybody knows what the stock 1/4 mile times for these two are it would be of help.

Actually, there is another downfall to the 5.7 in the later years. it was either 90-92 or 91-92 that you couldnt get t-tops with the 350 engine.
If you plan on doing things with the car i would get the 350 and later throw in a 6 speed from a wrecked 4th gen. You still wont have the benefits of t-tops but you will have the capabilities to go much faster.
If you plan on sticking close to stock i would probably get a car with the later model 305 with a 5 speed. they still put out 230hp and you get the joy of shifting through 5 gears with the t-tops down.

These of course are personal opinions. You should decide what you get based on what you want to do.
