Hi,
I was wondering did you ever have your GTA
appraised? I was thinking of doing this
to my 92. Do you think it would be a wise
choice or a waste of money on just a old
car?Oh by the way if ya had it done what
did they tell you it was worth? I'm asking
all of this b\c i want to have it insured
for what it is worth. Our insurance in
Manitoba is getting crazy almost 1100.00
a year with a perfect driving record.!!
Thanks for your replies, later GTA....

You can do what I did. Have it apprasied then tell the insurance company how much you want it insured for damage wise. They take some pictures, and your happy because you know that your covered for the amount the car would actually take to fix in a bad accident or it's value if it's stolen or burned. My insurance company wanted $84 a month for $13,000, a little over BB....

No I have not had it appraised..because: 1) I have no plans to sell it, 2) Means nothing because we have "Socialized Auto Insurance" and you basically are stuck with what I get, 3) I "could" buy special insurance but it would double my cost for insurance and 4) If I ever lost the car, I would just buy a "tired" L03 with a 5 speed and build a "sleeper" with a SD Miniram 406 and a 6 speed. In fact, I am toying with that idea anyways as my car is a bit unique and I am thinking of just putting it back to 100% stock.
