I currently have the oportunity to buy one of two cars. A '91 5.0 Camaro RS with 151K on the clock, or an '88 Monte SS 305HO with 137K. As far as condition of the cars, mechanically and body wise they are about equal. Both have a full slate of power options, and T-tops. Having never owned an example of either of these body styles, I'm asking you, as I've asked the Monte board. What makes the Camaro the better choice?

 

Actually I own both. I would think from a resale value, the Monte would be the way to go as it is the top of the line model, and the camaro is not. I love both of my cars, and am not sure which I would choose if I had to. The monte has a 3.73 rear, possibly posi, the last of the full frame rear wheel drive mid size cars.......I think I may actually pick the monte. Just check for rust in the rear of frame where bumper attaches.

I love camaros, but I 'd pick the monte ss

 

For the same $$$ I think I would have to agree and pick the MCSS.

I'm pleasantly suprised at the responses here The asking price on the Monte is 700 more than the RS (I think I can get the price of the RS down even more, but I doubt so on the Monte) I'm going to have to make a choice soon before some one else makes it for me. thanks for the input.
