my 92 rs

i have a switch just left of the steering column on my car, its to cool the engine and keep it from overheating. it looks like it was installed in the makin of vehicle. did previous owner put this in or they all had them

my 92 doesn't have it. It's an RS?? so is mine.. Mine is also the heritage edition version.. can't say I have an engine cooler though

i bought the car w/ the tranny switched, its a 92 rs w/ a 5.7 350 5-sp, iroc kit and all, but its got this engine cooler. if anyone has any kind of camaro whether it be z iroc or rs and u have a switch plz reply

I had a '92 RS heritage edition I bought new and I didn't have a switch like that. It had 305/5spd. It sounds like the previous owner installed it along with the 350. RS models didn't come with a 350 that I know of or I would've ordered it with mine.

Joey,

The previous owner probably added a simple single-wire switch to ground the coolant fan relay, which engages the fan. I also added one to my Camaro so I could manually control energization of the fan, like when idling in heavy traffic.
