I was in the junkyard today and I found what I believe (after studying the car) an 85 IROC. It had a 10-bolt with disc brakes. should I get this rearend? It had TPI and there was no G92 RPO listed. What carrier could it be? What would the stock gear be?

Take some degreaser and on the passenger axle tube, facing forward towards the engine is where the axle codes are stamped. Take a wire brush as they tubes usually rust before they get coated with gunk. Then you can be sure of year and ratio. Perhaps they swapped the rear out at some time in the cars life.
