Twisted seat-backs.

I tried this in Body and Interior, but nobody seems to want to answer.

My seat backs are both closer to the dash on the door side and farther away towards the center console. I lean because my back is twisted to the right. Opposite on the passenger side. My butt sits flat, but not the rest of me.

Birds eye view. \ /

They're not that bad but you get the idea. Is there a way to adjust them? Or mod
them so they'll be straight? Is this just normal wear on the seat? Wasup wit dat?

Thanks in advance

AJ

You could probably disassemble it and bend the metal frame back...?

It could be something in the backs is bent, or even the tracks could be out of alignment. I don't know how you can fix it except to look everything over and see what seems off.
Honestly though, for some reason all 3rd gens seem to have a little built in lean to the center to them, so i'm not sure you can really 'fix' it.

Thanks guys. You told me what I didn't really want to hear , but that was my suspicion too. I have looked at the door side of each seat and seen that there's a metal nipple that rests against a plate. Do you think if I notch that metal plate so that the nipple will rest back a little farther on that side, that it'll work? It's just an idea I came up with and wanted to see if there was a better fix. I guess I'll try it and then let you know the results. I guess 240lbs on it don't help either.

Thanks again
AJ

There is only a stop on one side of the seat, so modifying that wont help the twist. Its either the seatback thats twisted (very likely) or the tracks are tweaked (also likely). Its easy enough to tell if its the tracks, just look at the bottom and see if its square to the car or looks sideways too. If its the seatback, you will have to do what I did and scrounge the junkyard for a replacement thats not bent up. Bending it back wont work, the frame is weak and wont hold once its been tweaked.
