I saw one a few weeks ago and took some pics with the owners camera and he was to send them to me. I have not recieved them yet
I do remember what the stipes looked like as I studied them up close. Having never seen a "late model" Recaro before, I was impressed

I'm actually looking for the same info myself. I posted a similar query a couple of weeks ago but haven't had too much luck. It seems as though not many people have seen an 84 Recaro first hand. Let me know what you come up with.
There are a couple pictures on a website from a guy in Sweden. It's difficult to see the actual stripes however. I'll see if I can track down the URL. Also, check out Kizz's website. (He posts regularly on this board and has some cool pix.)

Well I kinda feel bad about this whole deal, the 84 owner needs send me those pics !
In the mean time I drew this up from memory so work with me here as the 70's were pretty damn good
My deepest apologies to the owner of this 15th Anniversary ! It was the only pic I had to work with.
The Detail I noticed most was that the stripes ended horizontally on the nose and mad an acute angle to the windshield. The tape actually overlapped in order to make this transition. From the T/A logo on the side fender heading back, the dual stripe went to the end and then up and over the rear portion of the spolier.

Wow! I've never seen TA stripes like that. I might be wrong but somehow I don't think those top stripes are original. No pictures I've ever seen have those and the GM parts book does not list anything like that for the Y84 option. Hmm.
The thread on my question of a couple weeks ago re: 84 Recaro stripes has some valuable responses you may want to check out.
BTW, thanks 82Recaro for posting the URL for the guy in Sweden. You beat me to it! I've tried contacting him to see if he has better (or more) pics but his email is no longer valid.
