1987 IROC/ G92, GM3, G80 5-SPeed........ Help..
Hey gang..
This is my 1st Post here...:-)
Recently purchased a 1987 IROC 5-Speed Coupe. Some of the RPO codes are: FE2, GM3, G80, G92, LB9. The car also has the Auto dimming rearview mirror, overhead console and power drivers seat.
How common are these options on a 1987 Iroc??
Thanks for the help..

FE2 - IROC-Z Sport Suspension

G92 - Performance Axle Ratio

Basically, you own an IROC-Z with the performance axle ratio (G92). In 1987, the 5-speed and G92 received the 9-bolt Borg Warner rear axle assembly with 3.45 gears. The G92 is a desirable option in all years. Whether the 9-bolt is desirable is debatable.
The automatic dimming rearview mirror, overhead console and power drivers seat are included in the top-of-the-line option package, RPO 1SC. Unfortunately, GM never kept records of the number of option packages sold.
All in all, you've got a 1987 IROC-Z that came equipped with almost all the options available that year. This fact in itself makes your car more desirable than most for that year.
