I was reading on the tech data page and
found this passage:

"`Heritage Edition' package available on all Camaros. Package included first generation Camaro style hood and rear deck stripes, body colored grille, black headlamp pockets, a 25th anniversary badge on rear spoiler (RS)..."

My car's a heritage edition RS (white with red stripes) and has a black grill. Is this ordinary or is something amiss?

My 92 z28 with the red with black stripes heritage package came with the black grill area (foglight area). I questioned this also and my guess is that the original owner changed it to black instead of the red. It had never been wrecked (as far as I know).

The purple haze with silver stripes and the polo green with gold stripes (only available in RS) came with the black grills. These 2 colors did not come either purple haze and polo green grills. I believe this happened because these colors were late additions in 92. The other 3 heritage colors (red, white, black) came with the color matched grills or at least were supposed to.

I am still looking for a red grill for my z28 but if I cannot find one, I will have it repainted red.

Its been replaced. Somebody probably drilled holes in the original to mount the license plate, and had it replaced later on. Mine was drilled and it looks like crap. I guess some people dont know what license plate brackets are for.
